evway has therefore introduced a prior check of payment methods and available credit (Wallet) at the start of the charging session as protection and guarantee for you, the loyal customer.
PAYMENT BY WALLET
With the new Wallet you are always sure to have credit to top up.
If your Wallet falls below the minimum threshold of 40€, you will be able to choose one of 3 different credit packages when reloading:
. Intro Charge
. Full Energy Charge
. Super Charge
Once you have chosen the package, you can top-up without pre-authorisation, certain that you have a sufficient balance, until the wallet falls below the minimum threshold of 40€ again. The credit in your Wallet has no expiry date, is always valid, is not tied to time-limited quantities and can be used to activate any top-up network.
Here is a practical example:
. Carla has a Credit of 30€ in her Wallet.
. At the beginning of the recharge, she can choose one of the 3 Credit Packages to continue with the Wallet, or change her payment method. Carla chooses the Wallet and purchases the Intro Charge Package (40€) .
. Her Wallet will increase to 70€ total (30€ balance + 40€ just recharged)
The recharge is unlocked and she can recharge without going through pre-authorisation and certain that she has sufficient credit until her Wallet falls below the minimum threshold of 40€ again.
PAYMENT BY CARD
In this case you have chosen not to pay with the evway wallet,
therefore a pre-authorisation will be required.
What is pre-authorisation?
Preauthorisation is a check on available credit and is activated when a digital payment method (card/paypal) other than Wallet is chosen.
Remember that this is neither a withdrawal nor a transfer, but a reservation, which allows you to top up without any worries.
The reversed amount will be cancelled directly by evway within 30 min after the end of the recharge or in case of a failed recharge. It will return to the availability of your card/paypal according to your bank’s schedule.
If your payment method has a balance of more than 40€, the top-up can start. If your card/paypal has a balance of less than 40€, the top-up cannot start due to a lack of minimum balance, so you will have to reload your card/paypal and try again.
